Inthispaper,wemodeltheecosystemoflampreysandanalyzetheimpactsofchangesinthe

sexratiooflampreysonpopulationsandecosystems.First,weestablishadiscretepopulationdy-

namicsmodelwithagegroups.Basedonthebiologicalcharacteristicsoflampreys,wedivide

thelampreyspopulationintosevenagegroups,andconsidertheecosystemsinwhichtheyliveas

wellasbaitforlarvae,competitorsforlarvae,baitforadults,competitorsforadults,andartificial

fisheries.Themodeltakesintoaccountthefactthatthesexratiovariesaccordingtotheexternal

environment.

Fortask1,wefocusontheeffectsofchangesinthesexratiooflampreysonthelargerecosys-

tem.Theresultsofthediscretepopulationdynamicsmodelreflectthatthechangeablesexratioof

lampreysisconducivetothestabilizationofitspopulationsize,makingitdominantintheecosys-

tem.Comparedwiththechangesinpopulationsizebeforeandaftertheinvasionoflampreysinan

ecosystem,weconcludethatthevariablesexratiooflampreysasaninvasivespeciesisdetrimental

tothenativepopulationoftheecosystem,butatthesametime,thelarvaeoflampreyscanpurify

thewaterqualityandpromotenutrientcyclinginthebenthicenvironment.

Fortask2,weapplyourmodelbyfocusingontheadvantagesanddisadvantagesofthebiolog-

icalcharacteristicsofvariablesexratio,metamorphosis,one-timereproductionandmigrationof
