    Thematerialsdefinedbythesespecificationsarefullykilled,finegrained,highstrengthlowalloy(HSLA)

    steelsheetpossessinggoodformingandweldingproperties.Thechoiceofstrengtheningmechanism

    isatthediscretionoftherandshallbedescribedintheControln.

    SpecificationWSS-M1P94-Ashallbeusedwhereprecoatingbythesteelrisrequired.

    2.APPLICATION

    Thesespecificationswereoriginallyreleasedformaterialusedinreinforcements,brackets,door

    intrusionbeams,suspensioncomponents,andotherbodyandchassispartsrequiringahigh

    strengthtoweightratio.

    addition.Suchtitaniumalloyedsteels,ifsubsequentlysurfacetreatedbyanitrocarburising/oxidising

    process,riskbecomingembrittledbecauseoftheformationofanultrafineTiNprecipitate.Microalloyed
