IntroductionR.F.Dearden’s definition suggests that any activity that takes the mind of the learners away from language as a focus, any activity which gives them enjoyment and satisfaction simply through participating in it can be called a game.1 Given this description, many activities in the language classroom which generate laughter, enjoyment and fun can fall under the general heading of play. The game described in this paper doesn’t refer to usual entertainment activities like handkerchief hide and run, hawk hunting chicken, etc, but a practice to strengthen English study for certain teaching objective. In English teaching, game is an important auxiliary method, which is welcomed by children and youth. It helps train students’ listening and speaking ability, and helps acquire their basic English communication skills as well as inspires studying interest.2 The aim of applying games into English teaching is to use English as the communication language to play games, enrich language studying scope and scene, and enable students to feel that what they learn from textbook is closely related to life.There are many advantages of using games.?“Games can lower anxiety, thus making the acquisition of input more likely.”3 Hansen said:?“They are highly motivating and entertaining, and they can give shy students more opportunity to express their opinions and feelings.”4 Games also enable learners to acquire new experiences within a foreign language which are not always possible during a typical lesson. In the easy, relaxed atmosphere which is created by using games, students remember things faster and better. In a word, games is a good way of practicing language, for they provide a model of what learners will use the language in real life in the future.?The paper regards game as an effective way and describes its strategy, implementation method, result analysis and so on.
