Her most successful novel was Jane Eyre which had been translated into many languages and was always high in reading populating. This novel was a critique of Victorian assumptions about gender and social class. In this novel Charlotte Bronte portrayed a female in an unfair society who struggled continuously for freedom, independence and equality. Jane Eyre was the Character of this novel. No matter what she met, no matter where she was, she always rebelled against that unfair society. She never gave up trying her best to get free, independence, fair life and true love. Through the portrait, Jane Eyre’s female consciousness awakened women and women’s aspiration for liberation. Charlotte also set a new model for women of Victorian times as well as modern age. Through this novel, it reflects Charlotte intense feminism consciousness.???II. A Brief Introduction to Jane EyreA. The Author’s Life and ExperiencesCharlotte Bronte was born in Haworth; Yorkshire on April 21, 1816. She was the third of the six children of Patrick Bronte and Barnwell Bronte. Her father Mr. Bronte was a poor clergyman in the little village. There were so many children in her family and her mother became very ill with cancer, So after the death of her mother Charlotte and her older sisters, Marian and Elizabeth were sent to a charity school at Cowan Bridge in 1824.The Clergy Daughters School for the daughters of poor clergy-men, which prevented the girls from having normal mental growth. In this school, the site was damp and unhealthy; it was bad for children’s healthy. So it was not long before both Maria and Elizabeth became ill and both died of consumption in the spring of 1825.After two of the sisters died in the school, Charlotte and Emily were brought home and educated by her father.
