花色の違いが女子短期大学生の花の嗜好および イメージに及ぼす影響 ＊ ＊＊ 土 橋　 豊 　田 中　祥 子 The Effects of Various Flower Colors on the Preference and the Image of the Flowers in Women’s Junior College Students ＊ ＊＊ Yutaka TSUCHIHASHI Sachiko MIKANO-TANAKA Abstract The effects of various flower colors on the preference and the image of the flowers in women’s junior college students （department of home economics and child care and pre-school education, 18 〜20 years old） were investigated. Five ornamental plants, 4 cultivars of cosmos （Cosmos bipinnatus Cav.）, 4 cultivars of tulip （Tulipa gesneriana Rosa Viola wittrockiana L.）, 4 cultivars of rose （ cvs.）, 6 cultivars of pansy （ × Gams）and 2 cultivars of common sunflower （Helianthus annuus L.）were examined. The preference degree depended on flower colors significantly and suggested that flower colors influenced preference degree of flowers. Between the preference associated with flower names and flower colors, significant positive correlations were showed in many cases. Moreover, we investigated the image of the flower color using SD method. The stimulating factor and the healing factor were extracted by factor analysis. A positive correlation was observed between healing factor and preference degree.
