八股之外：明清江南的教育及其对经济的影响 【 英文 标题】 Beyond the Bagu Training ： Education and its Influence on Economy in Ming-Qing 　 Jiangnan 【 内容 提要】在近代以前的 社会 中， 教育 对于 经济 发展 到底具有何种 影响 ？这是一个颇有争议的 问题 。本文以明清江南的情况为例，对此问题进行了讨论。本文对明清江南的精英教育及大众教育的内容（特别是读写能力和 计算 能力的培养）、教育对经济的影响进行了 分析 ，指出与以往的看法相反，科举应试教育并非明清教育的全部，而明清江南教育的发展和普及对于明清江南经济的成长和江南经济成长模式的形成，起到了非常重要的作用。 【英文摘要】 What role education played in pre-modern societies is an issue in dispute.
