【教学目标】
1.知识目标
1)掌握以下词汇:bulb, light bulb, microwave, microwave oven
2)掌握并会运用下列重要短语和句型:
alarm clock, the most helpful invention, give sb. sth., more time to work and play, every day,
would like to do sth., listen to music, all day, help sb. (to) do sth., it would be better to do sth.

教师活动: Review what we learnt last class with students.

?What’s the heated ice cream scoop used for?
?It’s used for scooping really cold cream.
?Who was the heated ice cream scoop invented by?
?It was invented by Chelsea Lanmo
学生活动: 学生之间对话并表演:
A: —When was the calculator invented?
B: —It was invented in 1971.
A:—When was the TV set invented?
B:—It was invented in 1927.
A:—What are the shoes with adjustable heels used for?
B:—They are used for changing the style of the shoes.
A;—What are the battery–operated slippers used for?
B:—They are used for seeing in the dark.
A:—Who are the battery–operated slippers invented by?
B:—They are invented by Julie Thompson.
II. Pre-task (预备任务)
教师活动:听写生词和短语:invent, calculator, scoop, adjustable, heel, battery, operate, battery–operated,slipper, heat, really cold ice cream, see in the dark, 让2个同学在黑板听写,写完后让另外的2名同学来批改,其他的同学与同桌互批。检查完单词后,教师要多鼓励学生,并结合学生出现的错误适当的讲解一些有规律性的单词
