交通大學光電工程學系 專題演講公告 主講人:Dr. Chuong Tran Chief Operating Officer, SemiLEDs Dr. Tran joined Emcore in 1993 as senior Technical Staff member and became one of the key members of the team that developed the first?commercial reactor for InGaN LED. ?In 1999, he joined Gelcore, then a joint venture between Emcore and GE Lighting, focusing on solid state lighting. ?In 2001, Dr. Tran joined Highlink Technology Corp. as Vice President. From 2005, he is President and COO of SemiLEDs, a company with 100% focus on power LED for SSL. 講題: A REVIEW OF LED DEVELOPMENT FOR SOLID STATE LIGHTING APPLICATION 時間: 2008年5月28日(星期三) 晚上 6:30 - 8:30 地點:國立交通大學交映樓一樓國際會議廳 Abstract： In this talk we would like to bring out a review of recent progress of LED development for solid state lighting (SSL) application and the challenges we face in order to get the society to widely adopt SSL All new emerging technologies would converge to the common goal to bring down the cost per lumen, bring up the luminaire efficiency and improve the light quality, especially the color rendering index (CRI) of 2700-3000K warm light.
