T he cost savings were achieved by homogenizat ion plant material w ith kitchen bender, sing two-step s crose gradient and low- er centrif gat ion velocity than that in the previo sly p blished methods; good repetitions were achieved by spe- cial meas res to avoid o ter envelope of the chloroplasts broken d ring the process of cr de chloroplasts prepa- ration and nst able gradient res lted from the particle diff sion d ring t he process of gradient preparation and s bseq ent centrif gat ion. Chloroplasts isolated by sing this method w ere 90% intact and can be sed to st dy many aspects of chloroplasts incl ding cell biology , biochemistry and molec lar biology .
