Guangdong Province. hongshan 528415, China [Abstract] Objective To explore the effect of exposure of the recurrent laryngeal nerve through the surgical approach in middle route during thyroid surgery. Methods The new surgical approach in middle route had been performed at the 366 patients in thyroid surgery,414 branchs recurrent laryngeal nerve were found.Results the postoperatine longrade recurrent laryngeal nerve palse occurred just 2 patients with thyroid adenoma and 3 patients with thyroid adenocarcinoma and was recovered 1,3,6month later..the postoperative hospilalization was 4.5 days. Conclusions The surgical approach in middle route is a safe and easy method of exposure of the recurrent laryngeal nerve. [Key words] Thyroid surgery; Recurrent; laryngeal nerve; Surgical approach 喉返神经损伤是甲状腺手术的严重并发症，如何避免损伤喉返神经是甲状腺外科中最重要的目标之一，目前 的研究普遍认为术中解剖喉返神经是最有效的保护方法。常规的显露喉返神经仍有一定神经损伤率。2005年6月至 2009年2月我们采取甲状腺中间入路的手术方法完成甲状腺手术366例，常规显露喉返神经，现回顾性分析其临床 资料，效果满意，报道如下。
