Although he is a chemical professor, he likes literature most, that is another reason he became famous. In his life, he still writing poem, teaching poem, spread the mini poem movement, compile the selected poems and poetry. His contributions can not be ignored. This paper generalize the corpus of Bai Ling’s long poem. First, author introduce Bai Ling and rhetoric of irony., defining the definition of the long poem, and explaining the limitations of the long poem. Secondly, you can see the various idea for the rhetoric of irony. Thirdly, author analyzing the use of the rhetoric of irony in Bai Ling’s long poem, and thinking that can show what aesthetic effect in the poem.
