Abstract:The application of AC/ DC hybrid grid has become
an obvious trend in pow er transformation. High voltage DC ,
transformation ( HVDC) , however, often brings forth poor
load characteristicsof pow er systems. Particularly, the volt- HVDC
age of converter buses tends to be unstable. This causes a
problem which aff ects the normal operation of HVDC. This ,
problem becomes more serious w hen the system on the re-
ceiving side isw eak. Aiming at f inding a better method to e- ,
valuate voltage stability of AC/ DC system, this paper re-
view s the existing methods of static voltage stability analysis
in AC/ DC systems. It suggests some changes to algorithms 1
