Due to their congenital defect, cleft lip and palate patients (CLP patients) experience different parenting styles and parental relationship and establish different personal characters. Their SWB and psychological health would be correspondingly different from others ‘. This study combines the results of other theoretical researches and employs related and regressive research method to analyze the characters of SWB and psychological health in CLP patients in a plastic surgery hospital in Beijing. We have also studied and discussed the relation between parenting styles parental relationship and their SWB and psychological health. Results of this study are:1.There are significant differences between CLP patients and non-CLP patients in two variables: alienation and phobia anxiety of self-rated symptoms; the educational level of the fathers of CLP patients does not affect life satisfaction, self-rated symptom and parental relationship, but that of mothers affect communications significantly; self-assessment of CLP patients do affect greatly the depression and paranoia in self-rated symptom, and there is obvious marginal effects on psychological factors; trust on others has marginal effects on life satisfaction and the anxiety and somatization of self-rated symptom. 2.Life satisfaction is positively related to autonomy support and trust from parents, disclosure of CLP patients, communication and alienation, and is negatively related to psychological control in parenting styles; interpersonal sensitivity of CLP patients is positively related to the psychological control in parenting styles, and is negatively related to parent-child trust, alienation and self-disclosure; the depression fac
