COUPON FRENZY! A Homemade PowerPoint Game By Jeanette Gordon Kristen Urick University of Georgia The Story of “Coupon Frenzy”! Taylor is a Senior in high school, and will graduate in two weeks! He/ she has been accepted to a major University, and has received the HOPE scholarship. However, Taylor’s parents have only allotted him or her $1150 to shop for the new dorm. The University requires that Taylor be equipped with specific items (found on items link). Taylor decides that he/she should begin the shopping so Taylor heads to the mall. When Taylor arrives he/she finds that the mall is having “Coupon Frenzy!” day. All Taylor has to do is answer a question at each store to receive a specific percentage off the purchase in that store. Taylor soon realizes the only way he/she can afford all of the items needed is to receive a majority of the coupons. Taylor cannot wait to begin his/ her bargain shopping! Game Directions The goal of the game is to purchase all of the items with the most amount of money left over. To play the game you have to pick a store to start with and try to answer the “Coupon Quiz!” To win the game you have to purchase all of your items, and return home with the most money!
