College of Information Science and Technology, Donghua University, Shanghai 201620,China ） Abstract: Coupling interaction between universities or other research institutions and enterprises is the foundation of collaborative innovation: coupling refers to integration and complementation of innovation systems on both of the collaborative parties and interaction means interactive behavior on both sides for the achievement of certain objectives. In this paper, an empirical research framework is set up based on a profound study of the coupling of innovation systems, interactive behavior and innovation performance. And with questionnaire data, research hypotheses are checked empirically through structural equation. Research has shown it is by interactive behavior between collaborative parties that innovation performance is affected.
