[ABSTRACT] AIM：Tostudytheeffectsofneuregulin一1SI(NRG一1SI)onthenervousbehavioralfunction，
cerebralinfarctionvolume，brainwatercontent(BWC)，neuroalapoptosisandaquaporin一4(AQP一4)expressioninas—
trocytesaftercerebralischemicreperfusioninmice．METHODS：Intraluminalthread methodswereappliedtoestabllish
themiddlecerebralarteryocclusionreperfusion(MCAO／R)modelinmice．Neuregulin一1B(2tLg／kg)wasinjectedinto
theinternalcarotidartery fortreatment．Thenervousbehavioral functionwas evaluatedbyBederson’stest．Th ecerebral in—
farctionvolumewasobservedwithtetrazoliumchloride(，ITrC)staining．TheBWCwasmeasuredbycalculatingthedry—
wetweightratio．Theapoptoticpositivecellswerecountedbyimmunofluorescenceassay．TheexpressionofAQP一4was
determinedbyimmunohistochemicalmethod．RESULTS：Nervousbehavioralmalfunctionappearedinallthemicewithleft
middlecerebralarteryocclusion(MCAO)and／orreperfusion．Theinfarctionfocusshowedintheischemichemispherefol—
lowingtheinjury．TheBWC，thenumbersofneuroalapoptoticcellsandAQP一4expressioninastrocyteswerehigherthan
thoseinshamcontrolgroup．InMCAO／R+NRG一18treatmentgroup，thenervousbehavioralfunctionatischemia24h
significantlyimproved，thenumbers ofapoptoticpositivecellsreduced andtheinfarctionvolumedecreasedsignificantly
thna thoseinMCAO／Rgroup(P0．05)．TheBWCandAQP一4expressioninastrocytesshowednosingificantdifference
comparedwithMCAO／Rgroup(P0．05)．Intherepeffusion22h，46hnad70hgroup
