The correlation study between pneumonia fingerprint image and evolution of traditional Chinese medical syndrome in children Specialty：Pediatrics Medicine of TCM Author ：Zhou Weihua Tutor：Professor Li Yanning Abstract Objective: By collecting fingerprint images of children under 3 years old in order to study the correlation between pneumonia fingerprint image and evolution of traditional Chinese medical syndrome in children . Method: The use of the BI-2000 medical image analysis system in the fluorescent lights and room temperature and the resting acquisition met the inclusion criteria of pneumonia in children. Collected from observation of the first 1,3,5,7,10 days from the date of the image, and records of children with TCM, clinical symptoms and signs. With using LabVIEW software and IMAQ VISION visual development platform of binary, threshold segmentation and edge detection and so on to image processing analysis, so can form the pediatric fingerprint data acquisition and processing system .Result: Altogether collected 108 cases of pneumonia patients. Children with pneumonia fingerprint color, floating and sinking, and three-level distribution with the TCM and the change in the relationship between illness, more in line with “red and purple to distinguish cold combined heat, floating and sinking to distinguish tables and years, three barriers to distinguish the severity”.Conclusion: This study successfully applied to modern computer technology, traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis, so that the objective observation of children with fingerprints.
