This marks the beginning of modern landscape architecture education. Since 1951, the program has developed into the main professional education program of landscape architecture in China. In 2011, landscape architecture at the university level has become the state-level discipline. Facing the problem of city environment caused by rapid urbanization and development, landscape practitioners should carefully rethink the subject in the process of development problems. While improving and expanding the discipline system, seeking common ground while reserving differences, developing in harmony, so as to make the landscape architecture disciplines into the important fulcrum of improving city environment, inheriting city culture, and maintaining city health are all considerations that will contribute to the growth and development of landscape architecture in the future.
