Teaching Aims:
Knowledge Aims: Get students to learn the useful words and expressions in this part.
Let the students know more about body language. Ability
Aims: Develop students’ reading skills by extensive reading and enable them to learn how to use different reading skills to read different reading materials.
Have students to know more about and understand more about body language. Emotional
Aims: Let students have a better understanding of body language in different cultures and try to avoid misunderstanding.
Develop students’s sense of group cooperation and teamwork.
Teaching Important Points:
Develop students’ reading skills by extensive reading
Let students read and understand the passage Showing our Feelings.
Have students learn the useful new words and expressions in this part.
Teaching Difficult Ponts:
Enable students to learn to use such strategies as skimming ,scanning and so on to do their reading.
To master the new words and expressions quickly.
Teaching Methods:
Showing pictures, listening,reading, exercising, explaining etc.
Teaching Aids:
A computer,a projector and a blackboard.
Teaching Procedures:
Step1. Review (3 Minutes)
1) Ask the students to read the words and expressions in using language together.
2)Let students close their textbooks and ask the Chinese meanings of several words and phrases asked by the teacher.
Step2. Warming-up (3 Minutes)
1) Let the students enjoying the pictures of facial expressions and ask them to use adjectives to describe them.
2) Ask students to use the proper words to match the facial pictures showed on the projector.
Step3. Reading and language points (30Minutes)
1)Reading (15Minutes )
(1) Ask students turn to page 30, look at the pictures and title of the passage to predict what they think the topic will be and then listen to the recording of this passage to check if their prediction was right.
