StudiesonthePhysical-chemicalPropertiesandFattyAcid CompositionandUnsaponifiableMatterConstituentsofOilfrom BadongRedCloverSeed RedCloverbelongstothegenerao#cloverofthefamilylegume.InChina,theplant iswidelydistributedinXinjiang,Yunnan,Hubei,Guizhou,Sichuanetc.Itiswidely plantedinEnshiAutonomousPrefecture.Redclovercontainsmanykindsof Vitamins,aminoacid,sugarsandflavonoids TheobjectofresearchisBadongRedClover,thephysicochemicalpropertiesand fattyacidcompositionandunsaponifiablematterconstituentshadbeeninvestigatedinthe thesis.theresultrevealedthatpalmiticacid,oleicacid,linoleicacidarethemajor components,whileoctadecanoicacid,linolenicacid,eicosanicacidaretheminorones; theunsaponifiablematterwereseparatedbycolumnchromatographyandthin-layer- chromatographywithsilicagelG.Themaincontentsoftheunsaponifablematterof BadongRedCloverseedoilarehydrocarbons,triterpenealcohols,4-methylsteolsand sterols.Thesefourfractionsareseparatedbycolumn chromatographyandthin-layer- chromatography.Andtheircontentsintheunsaponifiablematteraredetermined.Inthe sterolrfactionfourcompoundsareidentifiedbyGS-MS.Theyareergosta-7,22-dien-3日 -0l,campesterol,p-sitosterol,stigmasta-5,24(28)-dien-3日-ol.Itwasfoundthatlupeoland 日-amyrinarepresentinthetriterpenealcoholrfaction,andgramisterolandcitrostadienol areinthe4-methylsterolrfaction.Theacetatesoftriterpenealcoholswereseparatedby thin-layer-chromatographyofsilicagelGimpregnatedwithsilvernitrate.The identificationofmajorcomponentswascarriedoutbymelting-pointdetermination, opticalrotationandgaschromatography.Lupeolwasisolatedandidentified Noevidenceofnonedibleswasfoundinthisoil.
