The Research of the Influence of Du-Moxibustion across Ginger and Garlic to ESR and CRP in Treating AS with Cold-damp Blocking Syndrome Speciality：Acupuncture and Moxibustion Author ：Yang Xiaolin Tutor ：Associate Prof. Zhang Tong Abstract Object: To observe the clinical effect of Du-Moxibustion across ginger and garlic in treating ankylosing spondylitis (AS), and to compare its efficacy difference with Du-Moxibustion across ginger, by observing the ESR and CRP improvement. Method: 60 patients with AS diagnosed as cold-damp blocking type from TCM point of view were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. Treatment group were treated with Du-Moxibustion across garlic and ginger therapy. Control group were treated with Du-Moxibustion across ginger therapy. Each group had 30 patients. Each group were treated once a month and were treated 3 times in all. The changes of symptom, sign and inflammatory markers (ESR and CRP) of patients were observed before and after treatment and analyzed with statistic method to draw conclusion. Result: 1. The comparison of scores of each group before and after treatment show very significant differences (P0.01); comparison between the two groups has significant difference (P0.05), and treatment group is better than control group. 2. Sign comparison before and after treatment has very significant difference (P0.01) in each group; the comparison of Finger-Ground distance and Schober test between groups after treatment has significant differences (P0.05). 3. ESR and CRP comparison of Treatment group before and after treatment has very significant difference (P0.01), that of control group also has a significant difference (P0.05-0.01); between
