The first generation of ITE(computer education age): focus on computer hardware, program design, file processing etc. （2）第二代資訊科技教育（電腦素養時代）：重視文字處理、列表計算、資料庫、繪圖、電腦通訊等應用軟體的運用. The second generation of ITE(computer literacy): focus on utilization of internet applications such as word processing, list calculation, database, computer communication etc. （3）第三代資訊科技教育（資訊素養時代）：把資訊科技看成是爲解決問題、建立計劃、進行表達（表現）現等的手段，並重 視靈活運用這一手段從事分析、綜合、創作、展示等活動。 The third generation of ITE(information literacy): take IT means for problem solving, plan creating, expressing(representing),and emphasize on using it to take up activities like analyzing, synthesizing, creating, presenting etc. ? Fostering Information Literacy in Children 培養學生的資訊素養 資訊素養教育的目標：培養靈活運用資訊的能力? Practical ability of using Information --the ability of collecting, judging, expressing, processing, and creating necessary information independently; analyzing the recipients, sending or communicating such information. 運用資訊的技能：收集，判斷，表達，處理和創作必需資訊的能力；分析接收到的資訊並進行發送和傳遞。 Scientific understanding of information --such as basic theories and mechanisms of computer network. 科學地理解資訊：對資訊科學基本原理和機制的理解 Ability to participate in an information-oriented society --Understanding the social role, influence of information, or ethics and responsibilities regarding how to handle information. 資訊化社會的生存能力：理解個體的社會角色，對資訊的敏感度，處理和運用資訊的道德和責任感。 ?
