Abstract
In recent years, English teaching has been impacted and proposed to match the development of society
and the economics. English educational reform has been called for. English curriculum reform is the hot spot
of English educational reform. For English curriculum is the main carrier of English teaching, so how to
develop and make full use of English curriculum resources is an important subject for us to study. Since long
ago, the situation of development and utilization of English curriculum resources are not positive, the general
English educator and the policy-maker do not have the awareness of English curriculum resources, English
curriculum resources is not been developed and used well. In order to adapt the new request of English
teaching of elementary education stage, the Ministry of Education has promulgated National English
Curriculum Standard which points out that we should develop and utilize English curriculum resources with
the purpose of improving English teaching and learning in primary and middle schools.
The curriculum resources include manpower, the physical resource, natural resource that can be used in
the process of curriculum establishment. Curriculum resources have the characteristics: multiplicity and
concreteness, objectivity and subjectivity, substantivity and remoteness, unicity and multi- natures. According
to the different classified standard, the curriculum resources can be divided into different types: base on the
function and the characteristic of curriculum resources, the curriculum resources can be divided into source
material curriculum resources and the conditional curriculum resources; According to the difference spatial
