初二英语Unit 4 A Charity Show (I) 译林版 【本讲教育信息】 一. 教学内容： Unit 4 A Charity Show (I) ·Vocabulary 1. audience —— people who come to watch a show 观众 来看演出的人们 2. exit —— the way out of a room or a building 出口 一个房间或大楼的出口 3. microphone —— It makes your voice sound louder. 它使你的嗓音听起来更响。 4. stage —— an area where actors, dancers, singers, ect.perform 舞台 演员，舞蹈者或歌手表演的地方 5. performer —— a person who performs in a show 表演者 在演出中表演的人 6. curtain —— It hangs in front of the stage. 幕 它挂在舞台前方。 Why did the audience clap at the end of the show? 观众为什么在演出结束时鼓掌？ audience是集合名词，意思是“观众”，“听众”。当表示所有的观众这个整体概念时，谓语动词用单数形式，而表示观众，听众成员时，谓语动词用复数形式。 e.g.(a) Was there a large audience in the theatre? 剧院中观众多吗？ (b)All the audience is excited. 所有的观众都很激动。 (c)The audience are beginning to discuss with each other. 听众们开始互相讨论起来。 exit n. “出口”，常写在门上 e.g.(a) How many exits are there in the cinema? 这个电影院有几个出口？ (b)Leave the hotel by the nearest exit. 从最近的出口离开旅馆。 (c)She made her way towards the exit. 她向出口走去。 hang hung hung “悬挂” v. e.g.(a) Her coat was hanging on the door. 她的外衣挂在门上。 (b)I plan to hang a picture on the wall. 我打算在墙上挂一幅画。 (c)An old gas lamp hung from the ceiling. 一盏旧的汽油灯挂在天花板上。 ·Grammar because 和 because of 我们用because或because of 来说明事情的原因 because是连词，引导原因状语从句，通常放在句子中间，若要强调原因也可以放在句首。 e.g.(a) He has poor eyesight because he has too much computer work at night. (b)I bought this skirt because I liked the colour. (c)Because he had a traffic accident yesterday, he didn’t come to the party. 注意：because不能与so连用 e.g. Because he was ill, he couldn’t go to school. （或）He was ill, so he couldn’t go to school. *because “因为”表示原因；so“所以”；“因此”表示结果 because of是介词短语，后面跟名词，名词短语或代词，不能跟句子。 e.g. (a) She was late because of the traffic.（名词） 因为交通的缘故她来晚了。 (b)She didn’t go to Shanghai because of the bad weather. （名词短语） 因为恶劣的天气她没去上海。 (c)Because of this, he failed the exam.（代词） 由于这个事情，他考试不及格。 (b)The
