If 引导的条件状语从句 三. 具体内容： 1. 情态动词must 的用法 （1）must表达义务 You must return this book to the library by the end of this week. She was very weak, so we had to send her to the hospital. 注意： ① “must”常用于表达“必须；非……不可”的义务观念，没有过去式，所以要表达过去的“必须”通常都使用“had + to V”。 ② must通常表示主观意愿，have to通常表示客观原因。 （2）must表达推测，用在肯定句中 He must be a Chinese. He must have cleaned the room. 他一定已经打扫了房间。 must + have + done. 表示对过去一件事情的猜测 （3）“must”表达禁止 must not +V… You must not park car in front of the gate. 注意：“Must…?”的一般疑问句，通常视情况之需要可作下面两种回答 Must I go with him? No, you mustn’t. No, you needn’t.（=No, you don’t have to.） 2. 时间状语从句 时间状语从句是由when, before, after, until等引导的从句，用来说明主句所发生的时间。时间状语从句一般放在主句之后，若放在主句之前一般要在状语结束时加一逗号。 When I was ten years old, I began to study English. 要掌握状语从句的用法，必须注意主句与从句的时态配合。 例： Lucy went to bed after she finished her homework. When the lights are red, you must stop. Don’t say that before you look at the picture. 3. If 引导的条件状语从句 条件状语从句是由连词if引导的从句，说明主句动作发生的条件。这个从句同上面的从句一样，即可放在主句之前，又可放在主句之后。当主句为将来时时，从句只能用一般现在时。即如许多老师总结的“主将从现”。 If you don’t catch the bus, you’ll go there on foot. You will be late for school if you don’t get up now. If I’m free, I’ll go with you. If it doesn’t rain tomorrow, we’ll go to visit the Great Wall. 4. nearly 与almost 的辨析 （1）almost 后可跟never, no, none ,nobody, nothing等具有否定意义的词，而nearly 则不能。 Almost no one believe him. Almost no one got to school on time yesterday. （2）在more than, any，too 之前通常用almost，而不用nearly，如： Almost more than ten students failed in the exam. Almost any one can do it. （3）nearly之前可用very ,not ,pretty 修饰，而almost 则不能，如： It is very nearly dark. Let’s go home.天快黑了，咱们回家吧。 （4）almost 可用来修饰表示感情或心理状态的动词、形容词，而nearly一般不能， 如： I almost think what he said is right.我几乎认为他所说的话是对的。 5.
