The Social Stratification and Mobility of China in the New Period 　　Abstract. In a particular society, because all sorts of the social differences or the social inequalities are objectively in existence, the social statuses of all the social members will certainly be in a social order from high to low, but not at the same level. This is the social stratification, such as senior officials, intermediate officials, and lower officials, and ordinary people, rich people, middle-income earners, general-income earners, and poor people, and senior intellectuals, general intellectuals, and people with a general cultural level. In this paper, the social stratification and mobility of China in the new period are mainly discussed. Therefore, this paper is of certain practical significance and guiding significance. 　　Key words: New Period; Social Stratification; Mobility; Current Situation; Trend 　　Introduction 　　In every society, social rewards such as wealth, power and prestige are not in an equal distribution; some people will own more valuable resources such as money, housing, education, health, and power than other people. This inequality distribution of the social resources gives rise to social stratification. However, in a social stratification system, individuals or groups can flow. Along with the constant development of society, the flow among the groups of social people becomes much more frequent. How to see this social stratification and the mobility caused by it in a right way is a question necessary for the social scientists and even everyone in society to think seriously. In this paper, the social stratification and flow of China in the new period are mainly discussed.
