METHODS: The expression of Fascin1 was examined in 80 specimens of CRC, 40 of paired normal colorectal mucosae and 37 of regional lymphatic metastases by immunohistochemical method. RESULTS: Fascin1 was expressed heterogeneously among the normal colorectal mucosae, CRC and lymphatic metastases (χ2＝30.917, P=0.000). Fascin1 was higher expressed in CRC compared with normal colorectal mucosae (Z=-3.912, P=0.000), and Fascin1 expression was significantly stronger in lymphatic metastases than that in primary CRC (Z＝-2.419, P=0.016). Furthermore, Fascin1 expression in CRC with lymph node metastasis was higher than that in CRC without lymph node metastasis (Z=-2.432, P＝0.015). Expression levels of Fascin1 protein, showing no correlation with the differentiation of CRC (χ2＝0.333, P=0.847), was positively correlated with the invasive depth of CRC (Z=-2.074, P=0.038). CONCLUSION: Fascin1 expression plays an important role in invasion and metastasis of CRC. Clinically it may be a useful indicator of the tumor invasion and metastasis in CRC. 　　【Keywords】 Fascin1; colorectal neoplesms; neoplasm invasiveness; lymphaticmetastasis 　　【摘要】 目的： 探讨Fascin1蛋白表达与结直肠癌发生及其生物学行为的关系. 方法： 应用免疫组化SP法，检测结直肠癌80例、正常黏膜40例以及结直肠癌区域淋巴结转移癌37例Fascin1蛋白的表达. 结果： 在结直肠正常黏膜、癌及淋巴结转移癌中Fascin1蛋白表达差异有显著性（χ2＝30.917, P=0.000）. 两两比较发现，癌组织Fascin1表达比正常黏膜强（Z=-3.912, P=0.000），淋巴结转移癌组织表达比原发结直肠癌组织强（Z＝-2.419, P=0.016）；在结直肠癌组织中，伴发淋巴结转移的结直肠癌组织比未发生转移的结直肠癌组织Fascin1表达明显增强，差异具有显著性（Z=-2.432, P＝0.015）；并且，Fascin1蛋白表达水平与结直肠癌的浸润深度呈正相关（Z=-2.074, P=0.038），而与结直肠癌的分化程度无关（χ2＝0.333, P=0.847）. 结论： Fascin1蛋白表达与结直肠癌的浸润、转移密切相关，可作为结直肠癌浸润、
