Good afternoon, Ladies and gentlemen. I’m very pleased to have an opportunity to talk about some of my teaching ideas.
Part 1. The analysis of the teaching material
(一) Status and function
1.The topic of the unit is “Fun places”, it’s really an interesting topic for students. But the main structure is about the present perfect tense. It’s really a hard point for the students.
2. This lesson is just like a guiding article. It talks about a very attractive place: Singapore. Such a topic is related to daily life, it is helpful to raise learning interest of students
(二) Lesson goals:
Language goals: Learn key words: equator, mostly… and be able to understand passage by scanning, skimming and so on.
Processes and methods: Learn to read and enjoy an article by learning fast reading and detailed reading. Learn how to cooperate with others by pair work and group work.
Moral objects: Enjoy different culture, food and sceneries in other countries and love to travel and learn to love our lives.

Learn and grasp the key words.

Part 2. The analysis of the students
The Ss has learned the present perfect tense in the front classes in the unit, so the grammar is not a very hard point for them and all students are interested in the topic about travel, so most students will be involved in the lesson happily.
