Approaches to Cultural Education in Junior English Teaching Abstract With the increasing tendency of globalization, the contacts between China and other countries are witnessing acceleration never occurred before, and the intercultural communication becomes a realistic demand. English instruction in middle school also places higher requirements for cultural instruction because of the change of curriculum environment. This paper focuses on the important of cultural teaching in middle school, the difference between Chinese and English culture and the approaches of cultural education in order to achieve one of the most important instructional aim: to improve students intercultural communication competence and practical ability. To conduct the teaching of culture effectively，first, a language teacher should examine the traditional culture of learning of herself and her students.
