Official Methods of thin-layer chromatography identification, chromatographic conditions were as n-butanol - acetic acid - water (5:1:1), 0.5% ninhydrin reagent; determined using Soxhlet extraction of fat content; Moisture Determination of Moisture Inspection The minimum control limits; spectrophotometric determination of total amino acid content of ninhydrin color after the detection wavelength was 570 nm. Results Cockroach medicines and reference substance TLC spots were clear and easy to identify, medicinal herbs in the fat content should not exceed 7.0%, moisture content should not exceed 12.0%, spectrophotometric determination of total amino acid content, the regression equation: A = 0.067 943C 0.009 143, r = 0.999 9, tyrosine content of 1.0 ~ 10.0 μ g was well within the linear relationship. Conclusion The method is simple, reproducible and can be used for quality control of medicines cockroach.
