Methods 165 cases of acute cerebral infarction patients with the determination of serum Hcy and carotid artery ultrasound examination, in accordance with the extent of atherosclerosis groups to compare different degrees of carotid atherosclerosis in patients with Hcy levels, some high Hcy hyperlipidemia were treated with folic acid, a Cobalt amine intervention, follow-up of 2 years. Results With the severity of carotid artery disease, serum Hcy concentrations rise, high Hcy hyperlipidemia intervene artery intima-media thickness significantly reduced. Conclusion Hcy hyperlipidemia right carotid artery atherosclerosis play an important role in the formation of long-term given folic acid, methylcobalamin intervention is likely to reduce carotid atherosclerosis.
