Methods: The MTT colorimetric assay lymphocyte proliferation, thymus cell proliferation law and MTT colorimetric determination of IL-1, IL-2 activities. Results: matrine can inhibit the ConA and LPS-induced spleen lymphocyte proliferation and ConA-induced spleen cells to release IL-2, on the LPS-induced mouse peritoneal macrophages to release IL-1 also have a certain inhibition. Conclusion: matrine can inhibit the in vitro proliferation of mouse spleen lymphocytes and the release of IL-2, and peritoneal macrophages to release IL-1.
