Methods: In 2001  01/2006  10 treated patients with distal tibial pilon, 36 cases were included in this group. the first incision with a limited internal fixation of distal tibial joint surface to restore the integrity of the restoration of the right leg position on the line, and then apply the external fixator to restore the stability of the fracture, the clinical data reviewed and summarized . Results: All patients were followed up for 8 ~ 36 mo, all fractures were eventually healed, and 2 cases of traumatic arthritis of the ankle occurred while OK ankle arthrodesis, and 1 ankle joint self-integration; 6 cases of needle tract occurred infection; ankle score an excellent rate of 84%. Conclusion: The external fixator combined with limited internal fixation is the treatment of combined soft tissue injury of distal tibial fractures in a good way, surgical trauma, has a good prospect. METHODS: Of the distal tibia fracture patients hospitalized from January 2001 to October 2006 in our hospital, 36 cases were included in the group. Limited open reduction was applied firstly to recover articular integrity of distal tibia. The normal position and alignment of the leg was recovered secondly. Then external fixator was applied to stabilize tibia fracture. Clinical data were analyzed retrospectively. RESULTS: All the patients in th
