 PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 17 Low-temperature radiofrequency ablation for treatment of obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome Abstract of low-temperature radiofrequency ablation (temperature  controlled radiofrequency ablation, TCRF) treatment of obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome, OSAHS) before and after surgery the efficacy and quality of life changes. Methods: 50 patients with OSAHS underwent TCRF treatment, compared before and after treatment apnea hypopnea index (apnea hypopnea index, AHI), lowest oxygen saturation (lowest arterial oxygeon saturation, LSaO2), Epworth sleepiness score (Epworth Sleepiness Scale, ESS) and the Calgary Quality of Life Index (Calgary Sleep Apnea Quality of Life Index, SAQLI), from the subjective and objective aspects of TCRF Evaluation of treatment for OSAHS. Results: After 6-month review of polysomnography (polysomnography, PSG), 50 patients, the total effective 43 cases, of which 19 cases were cured, 18 cases markedly effective in 6 cases, ineffective in 7 cases, the total effective rate 86.0% . Mean AHI before and after surgery were 45.20 20.50 and 26.50 30.15, LSaO2 average of 0.70 0.24 and 0.83 respectively, 0.10. Epworth sleepiness score from preoperative level of 9.4 down to 5.2 after 4.0 3.3, SAQLI total score from preoperative 3.9 1.0 to 4.7 after 1.1, the differences were statistically significant (P values are “0.05). Conclusion: TCRF the treatment of OSAHS effective method can improve the quality of life in patients with OSAHS.
