METHODS: Immunohistochemical SP method was used in 41 cases of nasal nonHodgkin s lymphoma to examine the expressions of CD45RO, CD3ε , CD20, CD79α , CD56 and TIA1; In situ hybridization for EBER1 / 2 (EBERISH) was used to examine EpsteinBarr virus (EBV) infection. As a result, 21 cases of nasal NK / T cell lymphoma were diagnosed according to the newly published WHO standard. The expressions of CD and Eselectin were detected immunohistochemically in the 21 cases of nasal NK / T cell lymphoma and 10 cases of lymphoid hyperplasia. RESULTS: CD was expressed intensively in plasma of scattered stromal histiocytes and the positive signal of CD in nasal NK / T cell lymphoma was much stronger than that in lymphoid hyperplasia (t = 39.12, P = 0.000). The positive signal of Eselectin was expressed in vascular endothelium and the mean positive rates of the 2 groups had no significant difference statistically (t = 0.688, P = 0.497). CONCLUSION: The higher expression of CD in the stroma of nasal NK / T cell lymphoma may relate to the high aggressiveness of nasal NK / T cell lymphoma, while Eselectin may have no intimate correlation with it .
