Olanzapine efficacy in patients with first-episode schizophrenia and cognitive function in [Abstract] Objective To observe the Chaao nitrogen levels on the efficacy of schizophrenia and cognitive function. Methods 31 patients with schizophrenia after olanzapine treatment before and after 12 weeks of treatment, with the positive syndrome scale ( SAPS, Scale for Negative Symptoms (SANS, Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS-R, Wechsler Memory Scale (WMS, brief psychiatric symptom rating scale (BPRS, Wei Sikang Star Card Sorting Test (WCST assessment, observation olanzapine on changes in symptoms of schizophrenia and on cognitive function. Results After treatment, positive symptoms, negative symptoms scale, concise psychiatric symptom rating scale, Wei Sikang Star Card Sorting Test in the assessment of the number of error responses sub- was significantly lower (P lt;0.01, Wei Sikang Star Card Sorting Test in a non-persistent errors, Wechsler Memory Scale in the regeneration, understanding of assessment scores decreased significantly (P lt;0.05. Conclusions of olanzapine treatment of schizophrenia effective and reliable and can significantly improve cognitive function in some patients. [Keywords:] olanzapine, first-episode schizophrenia, efficacy, cognitive function ABSTRACT Objective To observe the curative effect of olanzapine in treating patients with first-episode schizophrenia and its impact on cognition. Methodss 31 patients with first-episode schizophrenia were treated with olanzapine for 12 weeks; before and after treatment, SAPS, SANS, WAIS- R, WMS, BPRS and WCST were applied for evaluation, and the effect of olanzapine on symptom improvement and cognition was observed. Results After treatment, the evaluation scores of false answers in SAPS, SANS, BPRS and WCST decreased obviously (P lt;0.01) as well as the evaluation scores of nonpersistent mistakes in WCST and the evaluation scores of reactivation and comprehension in WMS (P lt;0.05).
