METHODS: UMR106 cells were cultured in MEM and divided into BSR groups ( at different doses of Bushen recipe) and control group. The proliferation of UMR106 cells was measured by MTT assay. The protein kinase samples were prepared and the activity of tyrosine protein kinase (TPK) and protein kinase C (PKC) was indicated as mol of 32PATP incorporation. RESULTS: By concentration of 1 * 10-1-1 * 10-5 g / L of Bushen recipe, the cell proliferation was promoted. By 1 * 10-4 g / L, the TPK and PKC activity increased by 44.8 % and 95.1% respectively in UMR106 cells. CONCLUSION: BSR dose could activate and improves cellular signaling transduction in UMR106 cells. The proliferation of the cells may be due to this process.
