Methods of rheumatoid arthritis synovial fluid by the primary culture, application of 3 to 5 passages of fibroblast-like synovial cells divided into 3 groups, respectively, the high dose group Salvia (Salvia final concentration of 50mg/mL), low dose group Salvia (Salvia final concentration 0.39mg/mL) and solvent control group, using flow cytometry with AnnexinV / FITC PI double labeling staining and cell apoptosis. The results compared with the control group and high dose group and low dose Salvia miltiorrhiza cell apoptosis rate was significantly increased compared with the control group (P lt;0.05), and apoptosis in high dose SM group was significantly greater than the low dose SMI group (P lt;0.05). Conclusion SM can induce rheumatoid arthritis fibroblast-like synovial cell apoptosis.
