Further itisshown that the asymptotic hyperfunctions, which decayfasterthananynegativepower,arepreciselytheclassthatallowsasymptoticexpan- sionsatin?nity.Theseasymptoticexpansionsarecarriedovertothehigher-dimensional casebyapplyingtheRadontransformation forhyperfunctions. 1.Introduction SincetheadventofSato’shyperfunctions [48,49],andtheintroduction ofFourier hy- perfunctions byKawai[29],theresearch?eldofhyperfunctions hasbecomegrosslydi- versi?ed. Main branches are the algebro-analytic [28] and the functional analytic ap- proachtothesubject.Withinthelatter,inwhichthepresentstudytakesitsplace,alarge number ofspecial classes ofhyperfunctions hasbeen considered (cf.theintroductions of [22, 23, 47]). The construction of two new subclasses of Fourier hyperfunctions in this paper isdriven bytwomotives: ?rstly,their relation toknown classes ofdistribu- tions and hyperfunctions, and, secondly yet not less, their intended application. The two classes of tempered, respectively, asymptotic hyperfunctions that we consider, sat- isfy two extreme cases of polynomial bounds at in?nity. The latter fall o? faster than anypower,while theformer areallowed togrowasanarbitrary ?nitepower.Withre- specttothe?rstmotiveabove,weshowthattemperedandasymptotichyperfunctions?t intoandextendtheschemeofgeneralized functionsintroducedbyGel’fandandShilov [15].Inthisway,wegaininsightintheoperations ofdualityandFouriertransform on ourand several other spaces oftestand generalized functions, paralleling earlier stud- ies[17
