In view of the issue of rapid attitude maneuver control of agile satellite, this paper presents an attitude-tracking controlalgorithm withpathplanning basedontheimproved geneticalgorithm, adaptivebackstepping controlaswellasslidingmodecontrol.Thesatelliteappliesdoublegimbal controlmomentgyroasactuatorandissubjectedtotheexternaldisturbance anduncertaininertia properties. Firstly,considering the comprehensive mathematical model of the agile satellite and thedouble gimbal controlmoment gyro,animproved genetic algorithm isproposed tosolvethe attitudepath-planning problem.Thegoalisto?ndanenergyoptimalpathwhichsatis?escertain maneuverability undertheconstraints oftheinputsaturation, actuator saturation, slewratelimit and singularity measurement limit. Then, the adaptive backstepping control and sliding mode controlareadoptedinthedesignoftheattitude-tracking controllertotrackaccurately thedesired pathcomprisedofthesatelliteattitudequaternionandvelocity.Finally,simulationresultsindicate the robustness and good tracking performance of th
