TechniquesofXRD,SEM,HRTEM,FT-IR,andUV-visabsorptionspectrawereusedtocharacterizethestructureandproperty ofthezincoxidearchitectures.Theexperimentalresultsshowthatthepeanut-likeZnOand?ower-likeZnOarchitecturescanbe obtainedthroughchangingtheZn concentrationortheagingtime.FT-IRspectraindicatethattheZn iscoupledwiththe 2+ 2+ C=Obondofthegelatinmoleculesthroughtheelectrostaticinteraction.Basedontheexperimentalprocess,thepossiblegrowth mechanismoftheZnO3Darchitecturesisproposed.UV-visabsorptionspectrumofthepeanut-likeZnOhasabroadabsorption bandintheUVregion,andtheblue-shiftingofthebandisobserved. 1.Introduction Biomineralsareusuallyformedonthesurfaceoforganic templates(ormatrixes).Recently,inorganicmaterialswith higherperformanceandmoreexquisitemorphologieshave been obtained by biomimetic synthesis.
