Background.Weevaluatedtheprevalenceandclusteringpatternofcardiovasculardisease(CVD)relatedlifestylefactorsandtheir associationwithCVDamongpatientswithtype2diabetes.Wealsoexaminedtheassociationofthesefactorswithvarioussocio- demographiccharacteristics.Methods.Atotalof1000patientswithtype2diabeteswereinterviewedinacross-sectional,multi- centerstudyinout-patientclinicsinKarachi,Pakistan.Results.Inthisstudy30.3%studyparticipantshadCVD.Majorityofthe patientswerephysicallyinactiveandhadadversepsychosocialfactors.Fortypercentofthestudyparticipantswereexposedto passivesmokingwhile12.7%werecurrentsmokers.Only8.8%ofstudysubjects
