We found that vaccination of the dogs containing neutralizingantibodiesagainstPIV5withrPIV5-H3generatedimmunityagainstinfluenzaAvirus,indictingthatPIV5-based vaccine is immunogenic in dogs with prior exposure. Furthermore, we have examined exposure of PIV5 in human populations.Wehavedetectedneutralizingantibody(nAb)againstPIV5in13outof45humanserumsamples(about29 percent).ThenAbtitersinhumanswerelowerthanthatinvaccinateddogs,suggestingthatnAbinhumansisunlikelyto preventPIV5frombeinganefficaciousvectorinhumans.
