This anatomical regeneration correlates with functionalrecoveryofapreviouslylearnedodorant-discriminationtask,dependentonthecognateligandsforM72andI7. Followingregeneration,micealsorecoverinnateresponsivenesstoTMTandurine.Ourfindingsshowthatregenerationof neuronal circuits in the olfactory system can be achieved with remarkable precision and underscore the importance of glomerularorganizationtoevokememorytracesstoredinthebrain.
