Methods:Atotalof78malesand129femalesaged30–75yearscompletedfourinconsecutive24-hourdietaryrecalls(24- HRs,servedasareferencemethod)andtwoFFQs(FFQ1andFFQ2)overanine-monthinterval.Thereproducibilityofthe FFQwasestimatedwithcorrelationcoefficients,cross-classification,andweightedkappastatistic.Thevaliditywasassessed bycomparingthedataobtainedfromFFQand24-HRs. Results:ThemediannutrientintakesassessedwithFFQswerehigherthantheaverageoffour24-HRs.Forthefoodgroups, Spearman,Pearson,andintraclasscorrelationcoefficientsbetweenFFQ1andFFQ2rangedfrom0.23to0.61,0.27to0.64, and0.26to0.65,respectively.Fortotalenergyandnutrientintakes,thecorrespondingcoefficientsrangedfrom0.25to0.61, 0.28 to0.64,and 0.28to 0.62,respectively. The correlations between FFQ1 andFFQ2 for most nutrientsdecreased after adjustmentwithtotalenergyintake.Morethan70%ofthesubjectswereclassifiedintothesameandadjacentcategories bybothFFQs.Forfoodgroups,thecrude,energy-adjusted,andde-attenuatedSpearmancorrelationcoefficientsbetween FFQ2andthe24-HRsrangedfrom0.17to0.59,0.10to0.57,and0.11to0.64,respectively.Fortotalenergyandnutrient intakes,thecorrespondingcoefficientsrangedfrom0.
