DepartmentofNeurosurgery, GeffenSchoolofMedicine,Neural SystemsandDynamicLab(NSDL), UniversityofCalifornia,Los Angeles,CA,USA Methods:Thispaperprovidestwocontributionstothisproblem.First,itintroduces MOCAIP++,agenericICPpulseprocessingframeworkthatgeneralizesMOCAIP (MorphologicalClusteringandAnalysisofICPPulse).Itsstrengthistointegrate severalpeakrecognitionmethodstodescribeICPmorphology,andtoexploit differentICPfeaturestoimprovepeakrecognition.Second,itinvestigatestheeffect ofincorporating,automaticallyidentified,challengingpulsesintothetrainingsetof peakrecognitionmodels. Results:ExperimentsonalargedatasetofICPsignals,aswellasonarepresentative collectionofsampledchallengingICPpulses,demonstratethatbothcontributions arecomplementaryandsignificantlyimprovepeakrecognitionperformancein clinicalconditions.
