Methods Clinical data of 2 cases of gallbladder metastasis of clear cell renal carcinoma were reported. The clinical features and image findings were analyzed. Both patients were male , one 56 years old and the other 61. Neither of them presented special clinical manifestations. One case underwent laparoscopic radical nephrectomy 6 months before. During the follow-up , B-ultrasound found that the mass located in the gallbladder grew bigge r. Then the patient received laparoscopic cholecystectmy. The other case received laparoscopic radical nephrectomy and laparo- scopic cholecystectmy when the masses were detected in kidney and gallbladder. Related articles were searched in the Pubmed and CBM databases , and the clinical data were reviewed. Results The pathological diagnosis was gallbladder metastasis of clear cell renal carcinoma. During the follow-up of 3 to 25 months , no tumor recurrence was found. Conclusions Gallblad- der metastasis of clear cell renal carcinoma was rare. More attention should be paid to the lesion on gallbladder , especially for patients with renal carcinoma or disease history. PET/CT is helpful for preoperative diagnosis of this tumor.
