Methods:Threelongitudinalstudies(Study1:N=5612,51%women;Study2:N=619,60%;Study3:N=846, 59%)amongrandomlyselectedmembersoftwoonlinepanels(Dutch;German)usingseveralsocialdesirability measures(Marlowe-CrowneScale;BalancedInventoryofDesirableResponding;TheSocialDesirabilityScale-17) wereconducted. Results:Socialdesirabilitywasnotassociatedwithself-reportedcurrentbehaviororbehaviorfrequency.Socio- demographics(age;sex;education)didnotmoderatetheeffectofsocialdesirabilityonself-reportedmeasures regardinghealthriskbehaviors.
