Primary and secondary school English teachers build the knowledge base Abstract: Based on the teacher’s knowledge-based theory, combined with China’s basic education curriculum standards for English language teachers in the request, I believe that primary and secondary school English language teacher training courses can be divided into six basic categories of knowledge: language skills, academic knowledge / base theory, teaching theory and teaching skills and techniques, modern educational technology and application, background knowledge and scientific methods of knowledge, the first three categories of teachers must master the knowledge, then teachers should master the three types of secondary teaching practice and improve the teaching process relevant knowledge.
