T he Dep artment of N eurology , Si huanA ademy of Medi al S ien e Si huan Prov in ial Peop les H osp ital, Cheng du 610072, Si huan, China Abstract: Objective o observe the therapeut ic efficacy and safety of recombinant tissuetype plasminogen activator ( rtPA) combined w ith edaravone on acute cerebral infarct ion ( ACI) . Methods 60 cases of ACI w ere divided into rtPA group ( 30 cases, treated by rtPA only) and trial group ( 30 cases, treated with rtPA combined w ith edaravone) . he nerve function deficits of pa t ients in both groups were evaluated by European Stroke Scale ( ESS) and Barthel Index ( BI) before and after treatment respect ively. Results he ESS scores at 21st day and 90th day after treat ment in the trial group w ere significantly higher than those of the patients in the rtPA group. he effective rate of patients in t he trial group was significantly higher than those in the rtPA group ( P 0.05) .
